Shinhan Card and Manchester United Ambassador Ji-Sung Park Host Football Clinic in Korea



  • Children from local schools invited to participate in football session

  • Hardest working participant received a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Old Trafford

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Media OutReach - 14th November 2014 - Manchester United legend, Ji-Sung Park has joined forces with the club's Official Financial Services Affinity Partner for South Korea, Shinhan Card to participate in a football clinic with underprivileged students.

 

Having been recently announced as club ambassador, Ji-Sung Park visited his home country to make a special appearance at the event.  25 children from World Vision Youth Team were invited to participate in the clinic, learning what it takes to play the Manchester United way and hearing from Ji Sung on how he achieved his dream of becoming a footballer.

 

At the end of the event, which was organised as part of Shinhan Card's 'Arum-In' CSR initiative, two lucky children won an unbelievable prize which included not only a trip to watch Manchester United play at Old Trafford, but also a chance to see the first team train and a tour of the stadium.

 

Club ambassador Ji-Sung Park commented:

 

'For my first event as a Manchester United ambassador it was incredible to see the power that initiatives between the club and its partners can have and to see that positive impact in full force in my native Korea. For the young children who took part, opportunities like this are a dream come true and frankly without the fantastic collaboration between the club and Shinhan Card wouldn't be possible. It was great to see the children enjoying themselves out on the pitch and by the looks of it there was plenty of talent out there."
