Reliance Globalcom Appoints Rory Cole as Chief Financial Officer



LONDONUNITED KINGDOM--Media OutReach--March 7, 2014--Reliance Globalcom today announced the appointment of Rory Cole as Chief Financial Officer of its three offshore businesses, comprising FLAG, Yipes and Vanco.

Mr. Cole will have overall responsibility for global finance including management, planning and strategic initiatives. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Reliance Globalcom's Data and Voice business units focused on providing services to Carriers and ISPs globally.

 

"Rory has a solid track record and vast experience in the telecommunications industry and is our ideal CFO to help the company grow and add shareholder value," said Bill Barney, CEO, Reliance Globalcom. "In his previous role, he has proven himself a key member of the leadership team in driving the company's financial and operational performance."

 

With solid experience in complex corporate and financial restructurings, Mr. Cole was previously Chief Financial Officer of EMEA, MCI, a division of the former MCI/Worldcom business worth an estimated US$3.5 Bn. He also played a major role in Verizon's acquisition of MCI where he was the Chief Operating Officer for Verizon Business' International business unit. This unit operated in 85 countries and had annual turnover of US$4.5 Bn.

Mr. Cole holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Ohio State University.
